Paleo Protein Rounds

Hey there & Happy Thursday! Yesterday, I made these yummy protein rounds and I wanted to share the recipe, with all of you Amazing people!

These are a delicious add to any dinner, you can easily put them on shredded or cubed sweet potatoes with a veggie, like Edamame on the side.

These can also easily be put into a baggie for a snack on the go! Such a versatile little Paleo Protein round! Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound of Ground Meat (We use Beef or Pork, but chicken would be tasty too)
  • 2-3 Tsp MCT Oil
  • 2 Oz Cream Cheese (If you are following Whole30, consider adding a non dairy option)
  • 2 Tsp Pink Sea Salt
  • 2 Tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 Small Can of Green Chiles
  • 1 Tsp Cilantro
  • 1 Tsp Red Pepper flakes
  • 1 Tsp Garlic & Onion Powder
  • 1 Tsp Cumin

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 400
  2. In a mixing bowl, mix all spices and oil. 
  3. Next mix in (with hands) meat and spices mix
  4. Put an oven bag or foil on a baking sheet, coat with avocado or MCT oil
  5. Form into balls, take a little scoop of cream cheese, put it in the middle and roll meat into a ball, place into baking container, as shown in the picture.
  6. Bake 30-35 Minutes or until browned (I cook at elevation, so be sure and check the middle of a round, that it is fully cooked)
  7. Cool for 5 Minutes and Pair with steamed Edamame for added protein.
