Are you teaching civics or government this year? There are so many topics to explore within these two subjects. I am a 6th year middle and high school teacher, and my favorite topics that I ever taught were civics/economics! I think my draw to them is that a lot of people find them boring, but I love to bring in different ways to learn then the standard lecture.
