Happy Rosh Hashanah!

by Misty Weatherford

Happy New year my friends! If you didn’t know, Rosh Hashanah or the Jewish new year is celebrated around the world today! Shofar’s are being blown to signify the start of the celebration, and all around the world Jewish atonement ceremonies are being performed. If you don’t know what this might look like, think all of your closes friends and family, gathering together and tossing bread or birdseed in running water. This action signifies casting your sins away and believing in a better you for the new year! How cool is that?

I love how this country is so diverse in it’s religions, cultures and practices!

Here is my lesson packet on it: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Rosh-Hashanah-Introduction-Packet-Digital-Learning-Compatible-6042533

I love digging deeper into religions that I teach in my classroom! Do you teach religion? if so, which ones do you teach?

I teach: Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and the Dharmic religions.

Have you ever had any pushback from parents regarding religion that you teach? Tell me about it, I love to hear about your experiences as teachers! 🙂

Have a wonderful new year!

xoxo
